Learn to Surf in Surf City USA

Welcome to Banzai Surf School. We are a family run business, and one of only a handful of NSSIA accredited surf schools offering surf lessons in Huntington Beach. We are open all year-round.

We’ve given surfing lessons to people of all ages from all over the world. We provide surfboards, wetsuits, and all the sand you can eat. Banzai is conveniently located in Orange County, California, at Pacific Coast Highway and Brookhurst Street, just over the bridge from Newport Beach. This is one of the cleanest most un-crowded stretches of sand, and probably the easiest beginner surfing spot in Huntington Beach. We frequently see dolphins playing just outside the surfing area! The surf here is consistent year round, ideal for learning. Water temps range from 55º F in winter, to 70º in summer (13º to 21º Celsius).

Our instructors are background checked, CPR/First Aid certified, and undergo a thorough training program under the terms of the NSSIA. We use safe, high quality soft type surfboards and premium wetsuits. We offer week-long summer surf camps, or a two-hour session in our private/group lessons. We can also accommodate large company parties and group surfing events. The best part is, you never have to stand in line for the rides.
